I'm assuming by the fact that your location is secret that you are not looking for a local buy.

Do you just want the loose clips or do you want bandoleers and cardboards as well. I've seen at least two bay area guys selling the bandoleer repack kits that include the cloth bandoleer, six clips and six cardboard inserts. One of them is a moderator here.

You might just ask anybody you run into at the range shooting a Garand. Those of us who bought a bunch of the clipped Greek ammo have them coming out of our ears.

The problem /w a lot of the clipped HXP, especially the HXP-80, is that they are "SF" stamped clips that are notoriously... problematic. (I make wind-chimes out of'em.)

These are new Aggressive Engineering (AEC) clips that are made on Mil. contract machines.

                    They are great.

                    GARANDCLIPS.COM

Twenty-four (24) clips gives you 196 ready rounds. (four bandies/one can)

Don't buy JMO clips they don't work. Alot of the Greek ammo came with it. Ask before you buy.

are there specific markings on the clip to identify them as such? I'm looking for some garand clips... located in the L.A. area.

I never had any issues with JMO but had nothing but trouble with the French made SF that came with HXP 80. About 50% prematurely ejects partial loaded clips. If you get the older HXPs from the 60s most came with USGI clips. The 70s and 80 came with European clips.
