Century just imported a bunch of Type 53's from an unnamed eastern European country. J&G most likely got them from Century.

These haven’t been around for years! The Chinese Type 53 is a powerful carbine in 7.62x54 caliber. This lot is in good to very good condition and comes with side folding bayonet. Chinese marking on receiver ring. Overall length 40”, barrel length 20” and comes with 5rd box magazine. Production ended in the 1960’s on these carbines.
