Has anyone used Gunzilla on their guns??

A friend of mine gave me a 4oz bottle of Gunzilla. I've had it for months and haven't used it since it's not on my list of usual products. anyone tried this?

I use Hoppe's #9, Outers gun oil, Mpro bore cleaner, BreakFree CLP and Blue Wonder -- plus one that's not likely on your list, Marvel Air tool oil.

I've been trying to stay away from Hoppes #9 and similar solvents with nitrobenzene as it a carcinogen and get in through skin contact and inhalation.

I use it and liked it. My wife LOVEs that it doesn't stink up the kitchen.
It meets my (admittedly low) cleaning standards as well as anything else I've used.
Not a glowing review, I know, but I can't really say what a super-picky gun cleaner would think of it.

I used it and thought it did a good job, seemed to do better than Hoppes #9. I don't have it as part of my cleaning kit because I have a habit of waiting for the last minute to get more solvent and none of stores I usually frequent have it in stock.

That's the drag. Glad I bought a large bottle at SF a while back.

Yes, Randy at J&R sold me on a bottle as well.

It seems to do a pretty darned good job too. My observation is that it's best to be very careful about letting the solvent get onto painted surfaces.

My usual cleaner is MPro7, and it is pretty benign on finishes. Gunzilla, on the other hand, did soften up some finish on a rifle.

My advice is to separate the metal bits from the finished parts. That way you can use Gunzilla on the metal without worrying about killing the finish (assuming you don't have a painted finish on the metal).
