    Bore and Bayonet question

    Hi guys,

have couple of questions regarding bore and bayonet.

    1. Does bore look ok?
    2. Does the Bayonet has to sit all the way in the groove or its OK?

    Thanks

Well just looking at through my phone that's looks like a para blade! Dibbs. Btw. When I get home I will look at it through my PC and take a look at my sks'. Bore looks fine.

it does looks like it came from a paratrooper sks. too short to fit into the groove on the handguard, so it's a mismatch.

Is it common for these rifles to come with mismatch bayonets? and they dont have a serial # on the bayonet.

Do you think that it was done in Russia during rearsenalling?

          thanks

I see the problem, the blade and handle are put together 180 off so the blade edge is facing up when it's extended. Take it apart and reverse it.

Is it a Chinese Paratropper Bayonet or is it Russian?

                  thanks

The Russians didn't make paratrooper rifles, so yeah... Chinese.
The crown doesn't look so great. Pics don't reveal the bore, though. Have you tried cleaning it? Looks like some crud in there. Can see just the edge of one groove...

You have the wrong bayonet and suffer from what's known as "droopy bayonet syndrome".

One of the notches on your bayonet handle is angled. That's what's allowing it to droop. The bayonet you have is for newer generation SKS's. You need one that has both sides of the notch straight (no angle).

Your crown is f'ed but these guns arent meant to shots dimes at 100's. Its suppose to go bang with power behind it.

Does it affect accuracy? How bad is the crown? very bad?

                          thanks

Raptor, measure the blade from the front of the barrel ring to the tip of the blade. A Para bayo will measure 8", a Russian will measure about 9 3/4". Flip that handle and blade so the edge faces the barrel when it's folded up, and put it back on. It'll fit up into the stock.

Its all depends really. Get a picture from inside with your flashlight. It doesn't drastically effect accuracy. Like i said your shooting a hot round 7.62x39 haha Wasnt meant to shoot dimes.
