    DROS Black Powder??????

Do you have to DROS a reproduction black powder rifle that's only about 10 years old? Or are they just FTF like a C&R?

if it's a repro then yes, C&R is only if the gun is actually over 50 years. but I could be wrong.

You can even get them shipped to your door!

I should add that something like the TCA Encore will have to go through an FFL since you can put cartridge barrels on it.

Now it is very tricky these days I had to save a sales clerk at Bass Pro Shops from a beating by my dad and his senor citzen ruffian friends. They got all ruffled up at being told they had to register a rifle one of them wanted to buy. Turns out weapon in question comes with a blackpowder, a 308 centerfire barrel, and a shotgun barrel. Clerk had no idea how close he came to a cane and walker beat down! The old farts ended up buying a black powder revolver and calling it a day

Nope, that's incorrect. Any Cap n Ball, regardless when they were made, can be done FTF like a C&R. Same laws regarding felons and prohibited persons, conceal carry, transportation, and storage still apply.

Thanks guys - found a great looking flintlock about 150 miles away. Didn't want to buy it if it took two trips.
