Soft -Primer Strkes

I recently bought some Yugo 196 grain ammo to shoot out of my Yugo 24 - 47. On a recent trip to the range, I noticed a lot of soft primer strikes; hitting the primer but not firing. When I chamber the round again it fires, no problem. On my lighter-grain ammo, it does not have that issue. Sooooooooo what's the solution?(Don't say don't shoot Yugo ammo - no comedians, that's another forum)

Pretty normal with 1950's Yugo stuff. Stiffer mainspring is the fix, available from Brownells for under $10

The 50's yugo stuff is notorious for deep set hard cupped primers. If you haven't done this alread, disassemble your bolt and make sure there isn't a ton of cosmoline clogging up the works. Then check your pin protrusion should be aboit the thickness of a dime. If both of those items are good to go then a tired firingpin spring may be the culprit. Wolf gunsprings makes new replacements.
