    Mauser Adjustable rear sights....

I have a Spanish Civil Guardia in 7.62 Nato that shoot high to the right. I've been looking for a rear sight to replace the leaf (without permantent mods) similiar to http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...USER+96+SIGHTS

Has anyone here ever tried one or something similar? I really like the rifle, I just cant stand that I have to aim low and left to get hits on target, so I dont shoot it much.

    Please advise guys.

Have you thought about replacing the front sight blade? You can get a taller one, drift it in for correct windage and file it down (if needed) for correct elevation.

Just another option that might be cheaper and look more original.

      Thanks for the reply.

It does not look to be as simple as putting a taller sight on and adjusting it for windage. The Civil Guardia's sight blade and protective ears appear to be one piece that fits over the end of the barrell with a drift pin to hold it on.

I'm not so much worried about the original look so much as being able to shoot it straight and enjoy it. If I sell it, I would put the rear sight back on for the original look.
