Do you mean is there a gunsmith around who does this or have any of us done it and can impart the wisdom of our mistakes made along the way?

Nope. But I do have a new unfired Yugo that my base won't match the holes in the receiver.

                I'm got a quasi-original 91/30...

It's a sniper model with an original bolt and drilled receiver (not plugged) that I got from Century (They must have pieced it together, not a single number matches!) with a reproduction PU scope on it.

I know this doesn't help you at all but I just felt like sharing.
Alot isn't a word and allot isn't the word you think it is.

I'd really like a Colt 1903 frame, bad finish okay!
I'm also looking for a good deal on a 1911 frame or two for budget/spare parts builds.

Sequoia post a picture of it.

I surfed the Redondo break water Nov. '63 when it was 20' swells and 10' surfboards. Ha how times change.
