    C&R range day

Took some of the ladies out for a spin on a private range at Burro today. My niece wanted to impress her new boyfriend, so I had to bust his cherry proper with the good stuff. I let her shoot the SKS, and gave the kid the M44 to start out with (I gave him my spare limbsaver after 30 rounds downrange

Now i know the ruger in the pics is not C&R. but it is a bicentenial commemoritive that my grandfather taught me how to shoot with, and belongs with the rest.

We had a great time shooting up bowling pins, apples, clays in the "clay man" target, and off the back berm. Good times. Penny's Dad was nice enough to let the kids run a few mags through his EBR's as well.

Nice collection. Did you bring the rifle rack or was it there?

Some of the private ranges have racks. N-2 didn't have one last time I was there so maybe just the ones closer to the office.

That's a real good way to dial a flinch from hell into a new shooter. I've often wondered why we shooters do this to the new guys (or gals).

I'm liking the M38 and the Albanian SKS.
            Nice.

SMLE man, you can relax. The kid was not a new shooter, he was my niece's NEW BOYFRIEND. Hence the reason to mess with him a little bit. And thank you gentlemen for liking the old girls, these are my best shooters, and therefore get to see daylight more than the others.

So from left to right, it's:

                M39, M39, M39, some kinda Finn (Tikka M30?), M44, M38, SKS, and Ruger 10/22?

BTW if the Ruger is a commemorative model, it might qualify as C&R. Glad everyone had a good time
