Shooting rounds with oxidized copper on jacket ok?

Picked up a few mixed ap/fmj hundred rounds of 30.06 from grandpa, noticed a lot have oxidized copper brass and jacket.

    Go ahead and shoot it?

Depends on the level of oxidation, but it's probably fine. Got a pic?

If it's really bad, you might not want to. You can always throw it in a vibratory tumbler for 15 minutes and get the worst of it off.

Eh...Some of em look kinda nasty, but after a little TLC with some scotchbrite to remove the majority of the nasties they'll probably be just fine.

Those look a bit sketchy, perhaps try tumbling them for a short time like CSACANNONEER suggests.

Also, are those double cannelure bullets or are some of them way too far forward?

With the price that .30 cal AP projectiles are going for, I wouldn't shoot these.

Wait, are these reloads? Am I seeing a magic marker mark on the primers? I have no clue if this is normal for AP rounds or not. If not, I bet these are reloads. If they are, I'd break them down and sell the bullets for enough to buy some decent looking ammo that I knew the manufacturer of.

Having lost my sense of smell, I sometimes forget how important it can be. If they have a strong ammonia smell, the powder is deteriorating. I would advise against shooting them. But, again, the bullets alone are worth the cost of clean surplus rounds.

Never, ever, tumble rounds loaded with stick powders!
I was much younger and dumber when I learned that lesson many years ago, the hard way.
Tumbling breaks down the powder sticks and changes the burn rate, and the older the round, the more it breaks down causing a severe pressure spike when it's ignited. A pair of Bushnell shooting glasses spared me loosing an eye.
If those are AP rounds, and not majic marker enhanced, they should have had the crimp on the cannelure. Too many unknowns there to gamble body parts and firearms. Break em down for components.
