Or you can just ge a field grade from the CMP, I am personally waiting for woodless rack grades to be availble to use as a parts kit.

Just email them and ask if they had any woodless rack grades they don't have enough to put in the catalog or list on the CMP site. I did a few months back and that answer was they had them, woodless, no rear sight... $495 I think it was. I passed, it wouldn't have been cost effective for me to buy one and fix it up at the time. So just email them an inquiry, it can't hurt! Nice people they don't bite

Don't go anywhere near that place.

Sarco has them here http://e-sarcoinc.com/m1grdkit-allpa...cgoodcond.aspx but as mentioned, you would be better off buying a complete rifle through the CMP.

Ya a complete from cmp is looking better. Gun shops around sd are selling garands for 1200 I can't afford that. Cmp around 500 for the cheapest.

The thing is, I have a receiver, that's why I wanted to find a parts kit.

Sell the receiver and buy a Service Grade
                    What make receiver is it?

Personally I would ditch the receiver and buy the Service Grade

Ya I'm really starting to think that. It's just the satisfaction of putting it together yourself, makes it worth it.

I wouldn't even begin to think about shooting a 80% milled to 100% Garand receiver.. it's all about the heat treating (not heat treated properly it WILL go KaBOOM!!.. this is not like an AR receiver that is good to go from 80% - 100%.
