I have bought both the No.4 and No.1 Enfields from Century. Both were in reasonably good condition, the No.1 more so than the No.4. Both were covered in dirt from long term storage. Both needed alot of cleaning, and a couple applications of BLP. Bore on the No.4 was just OK, bore on the No.1 was very good. The No.1 turned out to be one of my most accurate milsurps.

    My No.1:

Those wire wrapped stocks are a trip. Does that make it impossible to take the stock off the gun?

The #4 mk1 I ordered had surface rust on all metal but a nice 2 grove barrel. Ok, but not as good as I expected. it is the 2nd one from the bottom.

The wire wrapped Enfields were designed to re-enforce the stock when used for launching grenades and flares.

The copper wire is held in place by solder, so it would make it a fairly major job to take off and solder back on. Not one I wish, or feel the need to attempt.
