Condition is always a critical factor but based on recent M44 prices I'd say north of $200 for a nice one.

A big thing for m38s pricing is if they are original m38 stocks or replacement m44 stocks. For a really nice unissued number matching with original stock you could get $250 to
$300. A good condition one around 200 give or take.

Depends on quite a few things, there's a lot of variables. Could be anywhere from $100 on up to $800+

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it unless it was something special. You can find them in the market place for </= $200 quite regularly.

In Russia, they're just Mosins. Mosin designed the rifle, but couldn't patent the design because he was an officer of the Russian Army, and therefore the rifle was considered a military secret and not eligible for patent registration.

Nagant registered his design, and then made a big stink to the world that supposedly his design was ripped off (it wasn't), and Russia wanted to use Nagant for a contract for revolvers. So they paid him a lump sum of royalty fees, and then purchased the Nagant revolvers for officers.
