With the lights down low...

Gentlemen,
..and the shades were pulled down low at SA. Mr. Garand and others were working on this...... Their aim was set for a full auto rifle. This file has very little info with it.
Have some fun and check it out, notice mag, flash hider. Let me know what you think.

Interesting sights. I'm not sure why the rear sight is way back and apparently off the receiver.

It looks like they'd already figured out the rifle would need an in-line straight stock to deal with full auto recoil, but hadn't figured out where to put the pistol grip yet.

And that rear sight looks like a Marble's tang peep sight.

Looks a bit like an SKS in the receiver area. Also looks like (and probably is) a BAR mag.

The sight is at the rear because Euro-style sights (rear sight on the back of the barrel) suck compared to putting the rear sight on or near the back of the receiver.

I love the straight stock.
