    Roseville Gun Show

Just got back. There were quite a few C+Rs there. Lots of Mausers, MN91/30s and several Lee Enfields. Ended up buying this one,

Its a 1945 Jungle Carbine. Woods is dark, but no major dings. The metal is nice, no rust and the bore is really clean.

There a neat looking gun. Should be a fun little shooter.

So have to ask what did you get her for.

You're right there were a lot of Turkish Mausers. The guy I bought the LE from said he's an importer and he buys the guns in shipments based on weight.
I heard they kick pretty hard also. The butt plate is mostly rubber, so maybe that will help. Ofcourse it 66 years old rubber, so not much help.
I paid $400 for it. That was as low as I could get him to go. I think that's a decent price for the condition.
I told my wife this is my birthday present since I turn 53 tomorrow, so she wouldn't give me a hard time about adding to the arsenal.

Did you get that from Marty? He had 2 at the Vallejo Show a few weeks ago.
The Jungle Carbine is on my short list!

            Nice!!!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I went to the show after Bob and I's disastrous showing at Sac Valley match hoping to find something good that I can feel good about as I sucked the match today. Well I came home with just $10 short of what I took to the show. It sucked for me. Heading to Reno tomorrow.

Would have loved to attend. I hate it when all that personal responsibility stuff gets in the way of shooting....

You were probably moving the weekend of the Vallejo Gun show Thread where the Roseville Gun Show was mentioned. Snooze, ya lose...
