yeah not for much longer though moving on friday. I do prefer out door range because I can practice wind calls and see the bullet impacts. That's just me

you are sure of those ranges?

Might be the perspective, but I might have a chance in the Olympics and kicking field goals.

Not bad at all. Good job. Iron sights too.... Not too familiar with SKS variants but is that a norinco?

Done good. SKSs and mil-surp ammo use the minute of pie plate gage. I hope mine's a good shooter. PAX

Yup it is a Norinco but its not a Type 56 SKS. This one here was an aftermarket and was chopped up and put together using spare parts. Then they stamped them all together but actually quite pleased how it shot and its fairly accurate.

Next one up is my actualy Type 56 Para all matching and milled parts. I have a feeling that one will be more accurate.

O yes. Remember indoor range is controlled, nice and cool and comfy. Out door is way different and much more real life. Different air temps, wind, humidity, etc all effect the bullet and well coming home like a filthy animal is always fun too

Plus I wouldn't use a bench or chair. I would do prone, sitting, kneeling, standing and some tactical movement shots as well. They don't let you do that at this range

I sort of thought you meant this was an outdoor range. Maybe it still is with a roof and walls, etc. Or did you mean you practice at an outdoor range? So confused.

Good grief Paul, be older! LOL

The video was @ an indoor range.

Posts 2 & 3 confirm that. He PREFERS outdoor ranges.

BTW.. that Finn you sold me is LOVING the central coast weather. THAT rifle is more accurate than ANY SKS... but my two SKS's are pretty damn accurate. I need to do post some targets of mine. The re-crowned Yugo I got from Paul shoots very nicely. I have a scope on my Norinco Type 56/66 (or whatever the numbers are) and it shoots pretty well out to 450yds (furthest iron target & the SLOSA range)

Glad you like them , J. With Wolf I think most SKS's are minute of man out to 250, with a flier every 30 or so. I remember shooting that Finn many times at 400 yards at Cow Mountain and people wondering where the target was. They could hear the ding, and had no idea from where.

Dude...ars shoot like 1-3inch groups with mil ammo an most aks are like 3-6moa so yer target shows you are less accurate than an average AR an about the same as an average ak...but yes nice shootin for an sks!!

                            It's all about having fun!!

yes and no. I agree with the AR I mean I can get some really nice groups with any time of ammo, especially wolf. As far as 7.62X39 that steel stuff really proved its worth. I mean that was a .25 cent group right there. Other one was about the size of a half dollar.

Not bad for a para but I want to take a full size SKS and see how accurate that is. I predict it will be between ARS MOA and AKS MOA.

I can see why the VietCong used them though. Just point aim and shoot and your are hitting something alright.

Put yes it was super fun!
