Seems somewhat fair considering how it looks on the outside. If the barrel is good and the numbers match it would be a decent price. Not a deal by any means, but prices are going up. $200-250 is more common for lesser conditions. Plus he's offering ammo and stripper clips. Asking him how many rounds which could make it a deal.

I got mine from a fellow calguner for under $200. The 100 or so rounds are about $25, it's not a deal. It looks nice so $250 would not be to bad.

          Mosin's have many faces.
Sellers and buyers could save time and many questions
if a simple picture of the receiver was posted.
Round count is not something I care about if it's a specific
type/year/manufactor I'm searching for in MN.
Some years are very common and many were made. Just because it's clean some people think they can get more. I have some ugly Mosin's that shoot wicked straight.

            More scarce...

Especially one like that, that's more likely than not a fair price.

It comes with 100 rounds so that's maybe ~40 bucks.
Aim had M44's for 200 and M38's are more rare.
It does seem to be a nice looking copy that isn't counterbored.
And he does say its OBO...

That's what I'm thinking. I PM'ed him since it appears he's in my neck of the woods.

If I wasn't healing up from surgery, I would have jumped on that one. I love M38s!... Ah hell, I love any C&R.

Well if the wife doesn't spend more money on makeup and I can get it, we'll see about that.

I picked up my M38 a few years ago for $58 off G'broker. Much more accurate for me than the M44 I had at the time so the M44 was sold.
I like it enough that I sold all my other MN's but still have the M38...
