03 FFl app. where to start?

I want to get a 03FFL.
To be perfectly honest, I'm totally clueless as where to start.
Searched the web, but found only payed links that want your money. Went to BATF site to download the forms, but didn't do it yet.
Used the "search" button here, but got nothing... actually, got even more confused after reading some threads in this section.

Is there a thread floating around with that info?
Maybe a flow chart with the steps, directions?

Please help the brother out here!

Don't be afraid. Download them, fill them out, send one copy with money to the feds, another copy to your Sheriff or Chief of police. You can do it by lunchtime.

Then once you get it, register yourself with Brownells, Midway, etc and enjoy some sweet dealer discounts

Don't forget to apply for your Certificate of Exemption (COE) with the CA DOJ. With C&R eligible rifles it allows you to take them home the same day when buying from an 01 FFL. Still have to pay the DROS, but no 10-day wait and no 30-day wait in between C&R handguns.

As far as getting the license goes, there isn't any. Hurry, and you can get it done by the end of lunch.

I am in the process of doing mine too. But, I may be moving to another address in three to four months, I know what my new address will be. Should I put the present address or the new one. MY Driver's license has the new addy on it.

One more question, can I pay the fees of the 03FFL application using USPS money order?

The only "weird" thing you need to know - - - they ask you to complete a certification of citizenship - - you can certify yourself - - sign it and go to town...

One "REAL" problem - is once you get your license - you will be forever broke - too many guns to buy...

If you haven't heard anything in a month or so, call them.
Just in case - It won't hurt!
I did and I found someone who processed my app had switched a couple of my ssn numbers! Had I not called I still might be waiting!

O-o-o, I did not know that. The way I read it; if I were a legal permanent resident, I had to have my residency certified in section 10 of the app, not if I am a citizen.
Section 9 on the app asks you country of citizenship - USA.
Can you please clarify?

..and you know what? I'm already broke, even without the C&R.
I have a gun-shopping list 3 pages long. At this rate I may as well start believing in Santa again... who knows, may be he is real, and will come through one day.

I was thinking about 1 in 30. That goes away. I don't remember about 10 day. Maybe someone can can chime in here?

Just talked to my 01FFL, he said no 10 days wait for C&R pistols for 03 FFL.
Anyone has different info?
