COE renewal problems?

I sent my check for my renewal around the beginning of this month, but my checking account shows no activity and the expiration on my COE is coming up soon. Has anyone else experienced/ing something similar?

Same thing happened to me. I'm still waiting and my coe expires on the 29th.. I got worried and sent in a money order and a new application thinking mine was lost.. then I got a call from the doj saying they already got the first one and my check but there are a lot of coe applications and they are backlogged and are "doing things differently" this year. They mailed my money order back last week but i'm still waiting on my new coe.....

Mine took over a month for the check to clear...

The phone number I have is for Evette at CA DOJ, her recording says some renewals are not processed untill 24 hrs before the experation date and will arive 1 week after, and your check may not be cashed till 30 days after because of the high work load. Also it says what week of receiving a new app they are processing now. Here is the phone number 916-227-1312

The longer you wait the longer it will take, the recording says right now they are processing new apps that were received the first of October, thats like a 45 day wait. 3 or so months ago it was about a 30 day wait.
