This one looks pretty unique, but the seller won't ship to California. Darn.

THIS IS A VERY NICE 243 CODE 1940 MAUSER K98 WITH A MATCHING EXPERIMENTAL RESIN STOCK. THE RIFLE IS ALL MATCHING EXCEPT THE BOLT. THE RIFLE DOES HAVE A FAINT
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

You can put one together ordering the parts off of R Guns. They sell Kar98 barelled actions for $210.00 and the stocks with are the metal are $110.00. I assume they're all Russian capture.

gar! damn California. Yeah not really picky if its RC or not. Lets face all the good ones are safely tucked away in someones arms.

Yeah really surprised only got one Dud and I think it was Yugo Surplus. No complaints here.

Screw those delta bravos that dont ship here.

OP, for what it's worth, I'm starting to think that in terms of pure shooters (which is what I care the most about), that Russian Captures are a better proposition because of the fact that they have been overhauled by the Russians.

Yeah I had a Yugo m24/47 and I must not really impressed with it and didn't like it as much. German one to me is just better. Plus it is just more sexy looking.

not to be a dick... but... uh.. 15yrds? (did you mistype and mean 150?) and 50yrds? is this the less known k98 handgun spitwad variant?

                      dude life begins at 300.

you're not going to notice accuracy differences with cartridges of this size at less than a few hundred yards. i remember seeing a guy on here once debate that his m44 was as accurate as k31 and it was because he was shooting them both at old man 100yrd ranges. Well DUUUUUH.

these rounds were designed to kill a guy at up to what snipers shoot today (400+ up to, what, maybe 700?), and so if you spend your time with groupings at 100m or less you're not going to see much of a difference.

                      just my .02!

good looking mauser nonetheless! and cool vid! keep it up!

Took it out this weekend and hit the 400 and 500 yard gongs a couple times. Neat old rifles.

Yes, I know I need a better video camera.

ooo your preaching to the converted I shot my yugo at 500 yards and was shooting the nuts off a nat with IS. It was a Cal Event at P2k so we had to play in certain areas and that was the 15 and 50 yards.

I think Mausers effective range is 800 and there are recordings of German Snipers hitting at 900+ yards out in the eastern front.
