Just an FYI for those that have applied for their C&R license

So I sent out my application on September 27th, my CC was processed on October 2nd. Figured I would call at the 3 week mark to check and see how it was proceeding. Was told it was in the system but they could not find my records by my SSN and looked it up by name. That should of been my first clue something was wrong, but the agent I spoke with told me to just give it time.

So called back again a week later and still same thing, can't find me by SSN and look up by name. Tell me to wait 60-90 days.

So this is still nagging at me that something is wrong, called this morning and finally got someone who thought it was odd my SSN was not in the system and transferred me to the agent processing my application. Turns out I guess I forgot to put my SSN on the application and they can't process it. So even though my name was entered on October 7th into the system no one bothered to send it back or tell me when I called that they could not process the application until they send the form back and I fill in the missing SSN??? So when were they going to send the application back to me? I'm thinking had I not been persistent this could of dragged on for months without anyone sending me back my application for correction.

Yea I forgot to initial those checkboxes so my app took 5 months to complete. 3 months until they notified me then another 2 months to process that portion.

Well now you should have it in 2 weeks or so.

I'm thinking two weeks before it gets returned! I thought about just printing out a new one and sending it in as I have my initial permit number and could put it on it. But figure that will just confuse them more and delay the process.

One old timers advice was to make a couple extra copies to practice on before making out the original.

That's funny because I did this too, I just prefer not to sign any documents until I am at the post office and ready to hand them over. And this is when I forgot to initial the boxes : so I don't recommend this approach.
