1944 Izhevsk M44. Non-matching serials, but all electropencil matched and she looks fresh out the armory other than a slight chip in the wood about an inch below where the bolt would sit (next to the stock pin).

She's in pieces at the moment having cosmoline dealt with, which was apparently applied mercilessly.

My roommate was attempting to bake her own version of a Twinkie at the time and took a couple of snaps of me cleaning cosmoline off the smaller metal parts. My cooking didn't taste as good...

One thing I don't like about AIM - they show a lot of individual rifles, but then you have to click on each one to find details. Most of the time the detail that matters most is "Out of Stock". They need to do a better job of removing the stuff that is no longer available.

I hate the internet too especially when a senior member posts a useless thread filled with nothing. That shouldn't even be in this forum but should be in the rifle gallery in the first place. Thereby wasting what could otherwise be a forum to go to learn things. Not watch attention seekers brag about things they don't even yet own.

why wouldn't this be in the C&R forum? Seems to be about C&Rs.

Oh, that's right. I didn't. I simply stated, in a scenic way, that I'd just purchased an M44 from AIM Surplus.

If this offends you in some way, feel free to go and browse one of the 440,944 other threads on Calguns. I'm sure you'll find something else to complain about and fill your little world in with.

Oh please - nice thread cr@p. If you don't like the post then move along or report it to the mods. C&R is 80% about discussing what someone finds. When a question gets asked that doesn't get a good answer, *then* you can complain.

I've posted interesting (to me, anyway ) threads in the C&R forum about some of my latest finds, and I enjoy it when others do, too.

And with M44's drying-up, I'm sure (as someone has already posted) that others might want to know about possible supply.
