Just got my C&R YAAAY! Now, I have a ??

As the title says! Now, a couple quick questions 1-If I purchase a firearm NOT C&R (through my gun shop etc) do I still have to log it and keep records with my C&R stuff?
2-When and how is AB 809 going to affect me? What date is it set to go in effect where I will need a COE AND 03 before I can purchase a firearm shipped to my door?
3-(Finally) I read about making copies, signing the license copies in red ink, then spamming EVERY C&R dealer (CMP, J&G, etc) with it to purchase firearms, correct?

No, only Curios and Relics go in your bound book, including ones you buy from a normal CA dealer. Any C&Rs you already own do not need to go in your book unless you sell them.

Don't know, but I have seen a cuople threads on it.

Yes, as well as Brownells, Midway, and Graff & Sons. All give dealer discounts to 03 FFLs.

Some dealers are now accepting scanned/faxed copies of C&Rs now, so check the web sites before you mail.

        1. If it's C&R, yes.
        2. Don't worry about it. It is 2 years from taking effect and will be fought.
        3. Look in the sticky section there is an extensive list.

If AB 809 goes into effect then you will need to get a COE if you want to order C&R firearms from out of state to be delivered to you in California. That's the bad part. The good part is you will be able to have C&R long guns of any age shipped to you instead of just C&R long guns that are over 50 years old like it is now.

Dont forget Numrich, they also give a discount to FFL03's. One of the best places IMO to get parts to keep these old horses running strong.
