Hex receiver Mosin out of jail

So I picked up my Bud's special its a 1933 Izhevsk that at first glance look real nice. Its not counterbored but has a fair amount of grease etc on it and until I get it cleaned up can't say much more about it. Number seem to match for the most part.
I just bought 200 brass 7.62 x 54R cases and have two different cast bullets I'll load up for it. Our range does a military bolt action shoot once a month so this will be my entry for it.

Congrats! Thake it apart and clean it well, there is cosmoline hiding that will ooze out all over when it gets warm. Let us know how those loads work out, I am interested in loading for mine.

Where is the range you go to?

Congratz. A hex is next on my list. Looking at doing match shooting and my own reloads in the near future as well.
