Need some info on SKS-M..?

There is an SKS For sale via private seller. It has a 16 inch barrel, Thumb Hole Stock, And Takes AK Mags. Could it Be chinese? Yugo? Fill me in. From what I found out, or think I did, It is an SKS-M ''Paratrooper.'' Can get photos if needed. Was all of this factory, or aftermarket? It is a wooden stock, looks to be in decent condition.

They're pretty neat guns, especially in "paratrooper" length

The earlier version had a standard stock. Also, the SKS-M has a different style magazine than the AK. I was told AK mags are incompatible, but since I've only examined one example back before the ban, I might be wrong.

last time I handled one, the insides of the magazine well can be tight. But it will take any other type of AK mags with minor fitting. If the insides of the receiver is rough, I'd just machine or polish it.

I figured it out when I tried to install the magazine into the action minus the dorky stock.
