    Stripper clips?

Where can I get a few dozen stripper clips for a Mosin M44 and a Springfield 1903?

There is a gun show coming up in a month so I'm sure I can get them there if I can't find any sooner.

    Thanks!

Just make sure you get quality stuff when you finally do buy it. There are a lot of cheaply made stripper clips floating around. I know it can be tough to tell, but definitely stay away from the brass ones!

woah what? I have the brass ones for the mosin and they work perfectly fine. Just stay away from the steel ones that have no cut in spring or else it'll be hard to get cartridges in and out of the clip.

Unless you're talking about 1903 cause i know nothing about them.

As long as you get actual military ones, they work great. Some of the modern repros really are worthless. Look for "31" stamped blued ones (Chinese), Izhevsk marked (arrow in triangle), or Tikka (circle T) marked ones if you want to be sure they'll work forever.

Some people have had good luck with the repro brass ones from uglycarfan, though the original Chinese brass ones work 2-3 times then fail.

I was going to put some Bulgarian stripper clips for sale if you're interested, let me know. These work great with any 7.62x54r ammo for your M44.

ugly car fan makes great brass clips. I've used them for over a year now and they all still work great, none have broken. Chinese brass clips were make of cheap brass because in battle you don't pick up your clips and brass.

If you are going to buy current production copies of 54r clips, just buy a few to test, and if they work OK, order more. I've ordered some really crappily made ones off Ebay, steel and brass. The bends have to be straight and precise along the edged slot where your rimmed cartridge sits. Badly made ones have more of a curved bend than a right angle bend on the edges. This causes the rim of the 54r cartridge to bind inside the clip. Makes it virtually impossible to load the mag from a 5rd clip.

If you can, buy mil-surp clips whenever you come across them.

Life can make you do many things, even kiss a man with a runny nose.

Classic Arm or Aimsurplus was selling 54r ammo with stripper clips for not much more than buy the clips alone, they are surplus, the one’s I received were in new condition.
