    C&R with no Ser#

How would someone document a C&R firearm with no serial # on their books?? (C&R FFL)

I would probably just put NSN (no serial number) in the serial number box. IIRC, that is what ATF tells dealers to do when they have an old gun that has no serial number.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I would just describe the firearm with its characteristic features, maybe even stick a couple of pics in there. I'm pretty sure as long as you do your due diligence, ATF is not going to nitpick with you in case you get audited.

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

This is correct. I had an old .410 shotgun from the '50s come in with NSN on it a few weeks ago. This is what ATF told me to do.
