Alternative ammo for an 1895 Nagant

I was watching some videos on youtube.com and came across this:

I thought it was pretty cool and "for a price" he can tell you how to do it.

I have some 32-20 brass on order, and I'm planning to reload as shown here:

I want to know why he is modifying the gun instead of shaving 0.010" off the case head and then cutting the primer pocket 0.010" deeper?

Of course, for cheap and easy, y'all can do what I did and get a .32acp cylinder instead of wildcatting. I'll save my 32-20 brass for my S&W.

^^^ When I get one I plan on just getting a .32ACP cylinder as well....although I've heard that "Some just drop in....no problems at all" and the "Fitting mine was a major pain in the A#$"

I bought two of them, one for each nagant. One worked, the other did not.
I understand little differences in the gun makes a big difference, it did in my case. The 32 acp shoots great out of the one, the other is just stock.

Cylinders ALWAYS need to be timed to a particular gun. Never ASSUME that one is just a "drop in" unless, it comes from the factory with that particular gun.

Also, it's been a long time but, years back, I experimented with my 1887 Nagant in 7.5 Nagant and found that both .32 S&W and .32 Colt worked but, one always split the brass and the other was fairly close fit to the chamber. Does .32 Colt even fit in a 7.62x38R chamber?
