Surplusrifle.com might be going away forever

It appears that the very useful site www.surplusrifle.com might be going down forever. They have many useful articles, particularly about assembly/disassembly of milsurp rifles. I strongly recommend that you download the .pdf versions of the articles there while you still can. Go to http://web.archive.org/web/201010010.../downloads.asp and right-click any article links that you might want and save the .pdf files.

They did this about 3 years ago, said they were going away, sold CD's with content, and are still around. I have those CD's somewhere.

Well....as of right now....I cannot get their site up!

That really sucks because the info they have had up has been real helpful in the past and I have recomended that site to many others.

Apparently DNS migration was required and the 'owner' chose not to respond
to the DNS migration issue thus relegating the site to darkness except via the Wayback Machine site. There is an underlying hint of some other issue(s) on the forum postings as well but it's not clear what they might be.

There's a group of anti-gun hackers that hit firearm websites, and they have been very active lately. I "think" that's what started the problems on SR. A real shame, a lot of valuable information might be lost.
They hit us on Mauser Central a few years back, and it was no small miracle that we recovered everything but the last three days of posts. Everything is now backed up on a secure server. We were hit again about the same time SR was, but were back up with no data loss in 15 minutes.
