Question about the Springfield 1903A3- help !

Can any of you fine gentlemen tell me if the 1903A3 Springfield rifle has a serial numbered bolt or bolt handle ? I found an 03A3 I'm considering buying at Gunbroker but the bolt looks slightly different in finish than the receiver and I wondered if the 03 bolt handles have a serial number to match the receiver like say the British Enfielf MK4 does, indicating the bolt may not original to the gun. Or maybe the 03A3 bolt is un serial numbered ?
    Any replies welcome !

In U.S. service only the recevier was serial numbered except for match 03s that had the rifle s.n etched onto the bolt body. Rifles in Greek service had the receiver s.n. etched onto the bolt at the handle stub and also the lat four of the s.n. was stamped on the stock at the butt. The best you can check for is that the bolt on an 03A3 is the same manufacturer as the receiver either Smith Corona or Remington. Many replacement bolts were made by subcontractors as repair parts and are perfectly serviceable. This is one way to adjust headspace in an 03 series rifle: swap bolts until you correct the problem.
