New CZ at the range

I went to the range yesterday to try out my second CZ-52. It was a gunbroker deal I got on impulse. I had some Polish to burn up and nothing better to do.

Had a quite a few rounds not feed well. Probably need to polish the ramp for that. I also noticed the slide was VERY slow. The cycling was just poor. Hmm, I bet with a better return spring it would have fed better. Time to break out the armorer's kit! I knew that thing would come in handy.

Does that brake on the Tok make much difference in recoil? Been looking at one of those also for my Yugo Tok. BB

I haven't shot the Tokagypt yet. The break is for my Yugo Tok and it's still in jail for another week. Sorry, no clue yet.

I have a similar feeding problem. Plan to polish the ramp and put in a 16.5 lb recoil spring. Fingers crossed.

Check the rollers on your barrel as well as they tend to deform and can cause premature wear. What sort of finish is it? Glossy or parked?

I'll take another look at the rollers. When I first got the gun I gave them the once over and thought they looked fine. I'll do a better inspection.

This one is the black glossy re-arsenaled.

Have you tried different magazines? I have one magazine that feeds horribly while my other one works perfectly.

Nice Tok, I had those Marschall Grips and Comp on my 9mm Norinco. Love those Marschall grips, super comfortable but they cost half as much as my Norinco. Dumped the comp though because I couldn't notice any actual difference. >.<

Yep, I have a fair number of magazines and was working between the two guns. When the barrel of one gun got hot I moved to the other one. I was trying to see if both guns were sighted in the same. Nope.

In retrospect I would say a weak return spring was causing all the problems. Never before have I been aware of the slide traveling like that. Way too slow. I have the armorer's kit with a bunch of NOS springs to swap out.

Those Marschall Grips are the bomb! Super good feeling and look awesome. I got a scratch on one of them the day I got it. I went to break the gun down and just wasn't careful. After that it became a safe queen and I ordered a Yugo Tok.
