Samco Global does not accept fax or emailed C & Rs

Got an email back from Samco today, they won't accept my scanned, signed copy of my 03FFL. I replied that if they can't bother to keep up with BATF rulings, then I wouldn't bother spending money with them.

Samco is a big operation that sells to middle level distributors. That is their main market. I doubt you are putting a dent in their sales. Their customer service towards C&Rs and individuals is not that good. They are known for poor service and would have changed by know if it were affecting their business. They do have some good deals though.

They probably saved you a lot of hassle by turning you away as a customer. Double charges, wrong items shipped, items never shipped... these are just some examples of agony that others have had to put up with.

Use a middle man like Classic Arms who will give you the service and nearly the same prices. Classic Arms buys in bulk from Samco. This allows Classic to offer prices nearly as low as Samco. The service is worth the extra $10.

My understanding is : from the last BATF newsletter I received, the emailed scanned copy of FFL's is a relatively recent allowance for FFL01s only. This is because FFL01s can be verified online, whereas there is no such facility for C&R licenses.

There are quite a few dealers that don't accept faxes,
Centuryarms, cdnninvestments, jgsales come to mind.

I had a complete list somewhere.....

CDNN accepted my faxed 03 today. They have Factory Beretta 92 Demo mags for under $10. Kristi is very helpfull.

Instead of expecting all the vendors to accept faxed copies, I mailed out 25-30 copies signed in RED ink to all the top vendors. It was a PITA but it beats putting in an order, waiting and then getting the reply that Clyde received.

I double checked my emails from back in May and Kristi stated to mail it in.....hmmm, glad to see they change it.
