          Thanks I pick it up on Friday night from Turner's $99.00 took all weekend to clean lol..lol.. can't wait to shoot it what's the best ammo to use ?

            this is the best part about Mosins. any ammo (as long as it's the correct caliber of course) is the right ammo. just feed her and she'll keep banging away.

            if it's corrosive, clean accordingly.

              I'm getting jealous. I was suppose to buy my first one last week. Is it normal to be jonesing for Mosin's when you don't even have one yet?

                    A couple of months ago I bought a big5 mosin and tried something different. I took it apart and with rags, a toothbrush type brush and alcohol I did the stock. Got all the grease off and started on the barrel and receiver, then the small parts. I did this in the house on my folding table. I had a fan behind me for what little smell there was.

                    I looks like you got a good one.
