    FFL C&R Pending? Call!

Just for the heck of it, I called to check on my status of FFL C&R and it's a good thing I did! They had my ssn wrong! Just in case any of you are applying, here's the main number: (304) 616-4617
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.

      RE: FFL C&R Pending? Call!

You know I just had funny feeling something wasn't right, plus it had been two months all ready I heard nothing. I thought they may have a back log, never would have guessed they had my ssn # wrong!

Two months was way to long, both times I applied for mine (forgot to renew and moved so re-applied) I had my packet with rules book and my license in about 3 weeks. Glad you got it fixed, now remember dont sign the original and make a bunch of copies, each time you send a copy to a dealer it needs a "original" ink signature .

Struck thru the misinformation. BATFE has ruled that electronic copies are sufficient. So faxed/emailed copies of a signed license are ok.

It took me about 60 days before I called. Operator said things get processed in order. I magically had it 14 days later, not that I was anxious or anything
