Sino Soviet SKS??

how can you tell if its a Sino soviet? I have a Chinese sks with the triangle /26\ no line down middle. The serial on everything plainly says a number followed by 1956

Sino Soviets will have a serial number with one "Alpha" type digit at the beginning followed by four numbers. I say Alpha "type" digit because the Alpha will not always be a letter we recognize as a letter. That sequence will be followed by the arsenal 26 mark.

In addition there will not be the Chinese characters which translate to "type 56".

There are later guns which have some Russian parts (i.e. rear sight) or are still made on the Russian tooling but are not Sino-soviet models. Yours most likely falls into this category.
I own one and it is one of the better made SKSs I've some across.
