Personally I like the K31 Swiss. Which isn't on the list. But between the ones on the list. I really like my K98 Bolt VS my Lee Enfield and Mosin Nagant.-General George S. Patton Jr.

Swedish. It doesn't get any better than that - in my humble opinion.Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.

Gota go with the Mauser. Soooo smooth.
A Mosin is fun if you like using a brick to function the bolt !

The Krag bolt is very smooth, the Arisaka is the strongest, the Mauser has the best combination of smoothness and strength, the Mosin is fine if you have a mallet handy and never want to engage/disengage the safety.Revolvers are not pistols
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel

Are Enfields cock-on-opening? I know Mausers are. I prefer this over any cock-on-closing bolt action. Since I've never owned an Enfield, I'll vote Mauser. No government deprives its citizens of rights without asserting that its actions are "reasonable" and "necessary" for high-sounding reasons such as "public safety."
A right that can be regulated is no right at all, only a temporary privilege dependent upon the good will of the very government
officials that such right is designed to constrain.Comment

My Mosin, only becuase thats the only bolt action i have used on the list. My Mosin bolt is actually really smooth. I first took it all apart and boiled all the cosmoline off, then gave it some oil. Then I sort of "tuned" up the operation of the bolt. Even before i tuned it up i still never needed to use excessive force or a mallet to open the bolt. My first time shooting it, i shot 30 rounds no problem. Iraqveteran8888 on Youtube has a nice 3 part video on how to smooth up the operation of the bolt.Comment
