    Must have Curio and Relics

What are your guy's must have C&R's? Besides the obvious ones, what pieces should every collection or at least just yours have? I'm not just talking military either. How about certain Winchesters, Remingtons, Smith and Wessons. How about rare, not rare, everyone and there brother has one. If Mosin's which country?

I am starting to use this darn 03 and there are so many to choose. I already have a few, but am looking for the not so common or the must haves. I seem to be a one of everything collector right now, which I think is BAD.

    Must haves:

    M1 Garand
    Swedish Mauser M96 or M38
    Finnish M39
    Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K31
    M1903/M1903A3/M1903A4

Those are probably the top 5 military C&R rifles to have.

The easiest ones to come by are:
K98 Mauser or 8mm Mauser variant (i.e. Yugo, Czech)
    Russian Mosin Nagant M91/30, M38, M44

I've always wanted one of the Mosin Nagants made by Remington.

That way, I'll have a great comeback at the range when someone calls it a "commie bolt gun."

I'm glad to see those are the must haves because I've got 3 out of 5 of em! haha

I would also recommend getting an Enfield of some kind. They are awesome rifles, but are becoming harder and harder to come by in good condition.

Love my Swede Mauser; would love to get a Ljungman AG-42 chambered in the same cartridge.

Those K-31's are sweet as well; I broke down recently and now have a service grade Garand on order from CMP as well. That 03 license is a blessing and a curse...

A MAS 36. I have the 49/56 and it's a great gun, but I just can't get to like the French bolt action.

That is too funny! I don't have a Rem, but can take my Westinghouse M91 out next time and throw the gun snobs for a loop when they come over to critique my rifle!
