4th series Type 38 carbine and 1st series Type 99 rifle, both made in 1941 in Nagoya.

Revolvers are not pistols
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel

'A Date Which Will Live in Infamy'
In Honor of the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor Hawaii.
Here is a Japanese Type 99 Kokura, Series 20, made very close to the end of 1941 at a time when the Sun was on the Rise for the Empire.

This example is the from initial run of T99's from Kokura arsenal and has all the early features. As the war dragged on, the features and machining steps were reduced or omitted resulting in very rough examples by the end of the war. In that respect the Type 99 is very interesting to collect, as it is of sort of microcosm of the fortunes of Japan during those war years, a fate that was sealed 70 years ago today.Last edited by Vlad 11; 12-08-2011, 12:03 AM.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.
