    K98 Ejection Issues

My K98 ejects cartridges but its just like a weak toss. My Yugo 24/47 launches them across the room with such authority it could damn near break windows. What's going on?

Thats my guess... call me functionally retarded but what does this look like and where can I get one? My search always results in ejectors but not springs?

calling it a spring is kind of misleading. it's just the ejector to be honest.

Does the spent casing make it clear of the rifle completely, or does it bounce around the chamber and magazine before leaving the rifle?

If it clears the rifle without any risk of getting caught and jamming with the next round, why not leave it as it is? If you're collecting brass, it will be easier to find. And, if you want your position concealed, you won't have a bright shiny beacon glinting away in the sunlight.

Well I think its the extractor, it looks a little more dinged up on the K98 and doesn't "claw" the rim as tight. It does the job though and functions so I guess there really isn't a problem. The ejector looks fine on both. Maybe I'll pick up a new extractor for the K98. Thanks for the help.

Good point. It's already bad enough that my Mausers are outnumbered in the safe by allied weapons at ratio of 5 to 1. The axis powers never had a chance
