    C&R Handgun question

Okay I've searched and read the DOJ materials, but still need help. Here's my understanding:

Anything 50+ years old is C&R, handgun or long gun.

C&R handgun doesn't need to be on the CA approved handgun list.

An unlicensed person cannot import a C&R handgun.

Please help me confirm the accuracy of above statements.

    My questions:

Can I have a C&R handgun shipped from out of state to my FFL for transfer?

Can I have a C&R handgun shipped in state for my FFL to transfer?

Thanks for your help, I promise won't complain about sarcasm or rudeness!

If you do NOT have a FFL03 C&R license :

Face to face transfer of C&R rifle within CA from an unlicensed seller requires no exchange of paperwork.

Face to face transfer of C&R Handguns has to be done through a FFL01 (DROS + up to $10 fee + 10 day waiting period). CA one handgun per 30 days rule does not apply on Private Party Transfers (PPT).

All C&R rifles and handguns from a FFL01 dealer within or outside of CA have to be transferred through an FFL01 (DROS & 10 days wait), just like any new rifle or handgun.

If you have a FFL03 Curio & Relic license

C&R rifles (50 years +) can be shipped from out of state FFL01 dealer to your door.

C&R rifles can be shipped from private seller in or out of state to your door.

C&R rifles from FFL01 in CA has to be DROSed + 10 days wait, or shipped to your FFL01 for transfer & DROS + 10 days wait.

Face to face transfer of C&R rifle within CA from unlicensed seller requires no exchange of paperwork. (You can give seller a copy of FFL03 if you have one).

You may purchase (cash & carry) a C&R rifle from a private party or FFL01 while out of state, and personally transport it back into CA by road or air without any registration process.

    C&R Handguns:

All C&R handguns (50 years +) from out of state seller / FFL01 dealer has to be shipped to your FFL01 for transfer and DROS + 10 day waiting period. The one handgun per 30 days rule applies.

C&R handguns from FFL01 in CA has to be DROSed or shipped to your FFL01 for transfer & DROS + 10 day waiting period. The one handgun per 30 days rule applies.

You may purchase (cash & carry) a C&R handgun from a private party or FFL01 while out of state, and personally transport it back into CA by road or air, but the handgun has to be registered with the CA DoJ within 5 days of your return (fee is around $19), and requires no 10 days waiting period.

C&R handguns are exempt from the DoJ Safety Roster.

If you have a Certificate of Eligility (CoE), you are exempt from the 10 day waiting period and the one handgun per 30 days rule.

I think I've covered pretty much everything.....
