Yes there is. They are going for around 150 to 200 dollars. Consider this if you put it up for sale and someone tries to low ball you. You can sell this face to face, it is a C&R. This in itself is saving someone DROS and tax. I own two of them. If I need money that bad, I'm selling something else. I have never sold one of my guns. It is your gun and your finances though, you make the call.

m38 is getting harder to find, harder than m44. You'll get at least $200 for that.

Shoot it before you sell it. My son and I were at a Range and had some Marines shooting AR's next to us. We brought out the M38 & M44 to shoot and after the first round we heard "What the F*** was that!". They stood transfixed by the fireballs and the shockwaves.

Shooting a Mosin carbine is completely different than shooting a regular Mosin.

Do the numbers match? Is it an original m38 stock? If both these are yes it will get snatched up very quickly

Looks like an M38 stock to me. $150-200 is ballpark price range, 43 is the most common year.

I sold my 1943 round reciever Izzy last month for around $200 w/ ammo.
                      I sure do miss her.

How does one tell the difference between an M-38 stock and an M-44 stock?

there is a groove down the right side of the stock on the M44 for the bayonet to rest in when it's not extended. the M38 does not have a bayonet and will not have the groove

i'd say if it's a correct m38 stock and the bore is pretty much new (at least it's already in a wartime stock, so that's a plus) i'd say $200 is reasonable in today's market.)

They were sold for about $80 not too long ago, but they are getting harder to find, at least for the moment..

I have 2 1943 M38's and one Pole M44. More fun to shoot than the 91/30's
