Got her done (from the other day's thread) and thought I'd share.

Polished and reblued metal... stripped, baked and sanded stock then did a hand-rubbed linseed oil finish.

Wow, that was fast. Looks great. Keep working in the BLO once a week another 4 times. The finish will continue to change and looks better over time. You can get a sling here:

Thanks! Yeah I spent a few nights watching movies and working on her and I lose all track of time. I think I went a few days there staying up til 2am and coming into work a zombie. So, overall I think it took about 15 hours of actual work and a day of drying time between coats. It has two "sealer" coats of thinned out BLO and 2 coats of rubbed in unthinned BLO. A couple more coats couldn't hurt

I ordered a sling already but it wont be here for a while, although that site looks like it might have better ones. For $6 though I might as well order a couple.

Right now I'm detailing a 24/47 that I bought from Samco awhile back. I'll post some pictures when I'm done.
