Finn Mosin feed problem

So my problem is basically rimlock. I have been searching all over the place and some people say I need to load the rounds a certain way, others say it doesn't matter. Then others say it is the interruptor, while others say it is not. If I load by hand making sure to push each consecutive round back then it is not an issue. No matter how I load with a stripper I'm bound to get some lock. I hit the bolt forward as was suggested to me and still they do not budge.

Here's what I'm thinking:

The top magazine spring seems to be a bit weak. The bottom spring is strong and holds the rounds up, but the top spring does not support the front of the round, making them go in sort of a rim up configuration.

The interruptor seems to be working fine. It holds the next round down, the spring seems strong, and the interruptor itself is still in one piece. Still a Mosin collector at the range said that this spring is probably my problem.

I think I'll probably just replace the follower spring and the interruptor assembly to be safe. Is there any place you guys can recommend for Mosin parts?

The above will have the parts. The Mosin collector knows his stuff. Even if your interrupter "visually" looks ok, it likely is not. You should never have to stagger your rounds like an Enfield with a Mosin Nagant. A weak magazine spring could compound your issues.

You also might want to look at how the magazine assembly fits to the receiver. If it's out of spec, the nose of your rounds could be catching on an overhang. You might need to shim between the magazine and the receiver with some small pieces of beer/pop can to create the necessary space.

I still think it's the interrupter though.

In addition to the interrupter failing on you, if you removed the little shims from the magazine housing, you could have messed with the spacing as well

Shims? I'm not familiar with Finns . . . so I would have asked you to swap magazines with another Mosin to verify . . . But if it came shimmed . . . I guess that could be the issue.

Have you checked it since replacing the shims . . . is everything A-Okay?

No the issue was there before disassembly. I didn't know about the shims until they fell out. I just put them back where I found them.

I have a Finnish M-24 that was acting up and wouldn't hold the ammo in the magazine or feed it properly. I took it apart twice and everything checked out fine and still wouldn't work. I had a spare 2-piece interrupter/ejector so I swapped it out a few days ago and just took it to the range today to test it out. It works absolutely flawless now, so it reminded me that even when things look fine there can still be a hidden problem in there that only a part replacement will fix.
