Well I got my notice that the CMP received my Garand order yesterday. Now every time my email chimes I think it might be an order update and I keep checking my online banking hoping to see a charge. Does anyone have an idea what the turnaround time is lately? I ordered a service grade HRA and it will be my first M1.

look at their website, doesnt it say 6-8 weeks?? I know of several guys who got their rifles in 3 weeks, i know of others who it took more then 2 months... I truly believe it has to do with how many orders they receive that day/week.Happiness is a WARM AR

There's a "what's the latest order #" thread on their forums (actually one for ammo, one for rifles, etc.) but it's running around 5 weeks from when they receive the order. If you've received the email from them you're really close - the next step will be it appearing in the eStore (you won't get an email for this), and then you'll see the line about how much you owe will go to zero when they hit your card, and then they'll send you an email with the tracking info. Rifles ship overnight by 10:30am, adult signature required.Comment

I'm sure you'll enjoy it - Garands are a lot of fun and the HRAs are typically in excellent condition. There's a pretty good little manual that shows how to strip and lube it that comes with - look under the foam in the box if you don't see it.
Also note that if you ordered ammo that ships ground, but once they get your eStore account set up you can order online and they're basically caught up with ammo - they'll ship it out in just a couple of days.Comment

They received my order on April 14th. Still haven't seen a pending order on the e-store yet, almost at the 4 week mark though.Comment

I put the paperwork in the mail on Friday May 6th as a new customer. Haven't gotten an e-mail yet, but that's because I'm new, and USPS can be slow *grin*
Edit: Order Received May 9, E-store account created May 13.
Edit2: Hit the e-store May 24.
Edit3: Shipping notice May 25, expected delivery May 26.
Edit4: Received on May 26, serial in 5 45x xxx range

All mine have averaged about 30 days...Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.

Wait till you get a tracking number. Then your checking on it every hour. Take it from someone who knows.
