    Where to get Swiss K31?

I live in Glendale. Is there any where I can go to see and buy K31? Or is my only choice to order online?

Start hitting the gun shows in your area. I got lucky, and the first gun show I ever went to, I found one for sale for a damn good price.

Gun show, online, hell, try Big 5, I got 2 from them, 99 bucks each last year. THey can still be had for under 200, 170 if you find the right folks. They are very much worth it, and honestly, for paper shooting perposes, even a nice mauser does not compare.

I have a J&G Sales flyer in front of me advertising K31s for $200. Walnut stock, "very good" condition.

Your best bet is going to wait for a private owner who is looking to get rid of their rifle. All of the K31's I have seen at gun shows and gun shops have been over priced. Getting one from a private owner is also easier because there is no dealing with DROS and a ten day wait!

They really are nice rifles, you might want to consider getting a C&R license though. I bought one of them with my '03 way back when FGS was the only game in town. Now that everybody and their brother has them I own 4 of the darn things. Century was having a smokin' deal on their "3 fors" a couple of years back so I bought 3 K-31's and let my Dad have his choice of the three. All of mine are nice rifles, all matching, perfect bores, and great shooters. I'd really love to have one in .308 someday. Take a look over at Gunboards on their trader board, I'll bet it wouldn't take too long to find one over there.

            Good luck

I just got mine about a month ago from a WTS forum on one of the other websites. I paid $165 shipped. The rifle is beautiful - 95% blue, w/perfect beech stock & sling - probably one of the nicest C&R's that I now own. I even tracked down the prior Swiss owner through the buttplate tag, an Engineering Teacher/Professor in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
Prior to finding that rifle, I was seriously considering ordering one from SAMCO. I believe they still have them in the $175 range.
