I posted in the off-topic thread from 45david1 and he suggested I cross post here so here it is.
I have a couple of Marlin revolvers that I assume are nickel plated. I would like to clean them up and get the crud off of them without harming the finish.
I have heard that kroil oil and copper wool is best for this but I wanted to get you all's opinion before I start. Good idea or is there something else I should use? Here is a picture of them for you.

Thanks,
John
