Where ever you like that won't scare the civilians. Most of mine have been in parking lots.

Anywhere. The only time I bought a C&R face to face and the only time I sold a C&R face to face was in the parking lot of a shooting range. You could certainly do it at your house.

        +1

I avoid at-home transfers of anything for OpSec.
I'll just meet someone at a parking lot near wherever is convenient.

If I do a C&R buy or sell I like to meet in the parking lot of a gun shop or shooting range.

            Anywhere but california pizza kitchen!

i would recommend a gun range or your house though... just to avoid unwanted attention

I've always done mine in the parking lot of a gunstore or range. People seem to be less freaked out when you pull a rifle out of your trunk there. You can do the transfer anywhere you like, however. I never do them at my home.

I've done two ftf transfers in the past. Always met at a local gun range. Guns are around so passersby are not politically hostile, and its a public place so both sides can be more relaxed. Finally, if test-firing is a condition of sale you're right there.
