    Clip question

I was going through some of my WW2 stuff my dad and I have gotten over the years and I found a 1911 pouch with 2 clips. Both are marked with an "A" on the lip of the clip. I was wondering if someone could help me out and give me some information on them and help me with what era they are from.

    Thanks

Don't be too hard on the guy... with all the "assault clip" & "Loughner-style clip" crap floating around the media, I find myself calling them clips from time to time too dammit!

I suggest getting some photos and asking here:

All USA issued weapons are covered on this board. The 1903, the M1, the 1911, and a host of others like the BAR and 1919 and modern versions of our armed forces arsenal.

There are 'A' marked 1911 magazines that are 'American Pin Company'

These predate WW2 and are rare. WW1 i think. So if that is the case its a Model 1911 magazine as opposed to Model 1911a1 magazine.

If thats what you have you will have no problem filling up your clip. Money clip that is.
