    What's it worth?

    Springfield model 1898 30-40 kraig carbine.

          Since it is not a rifle, it depends on whether it is an actual carbine or a cut down rifle.
          Chances are yours is a cut down rifle.
          A decent cut-down is worth about $300 a bit more if the barrel has not been shortened.
          An actual carbine is much more valuable, again depends on model and condition -- $600 to 1200 --
          Your receiver should be marked with the model --1896 - 98 -99
          Stock should be marked with year of acceptence --
