Yes, assuming it's an all-matching rifle. Does the cocking piece match?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. People are using bad logic here, or they just have an irrational prejudice against Mosins.

Even after hanging around the C&R forum for just a little while, you should have learned that values of guns are based on historical significance or rarity, not quality of manufacture.

My White Oak Armament NM AR15 cost my about $1300 and is the most accurate and well built rifle I own. Would I sell it to buy a Krag carbine that was carried by one of Teddy Roosevelt's rough riders? You bet your *** I would.. I can always buy another AR15.

But then again, I'm biased myself since I'm a history major. One man's trash is another mans treasure I guess..

Very, very nice. Does that eagle (above the flaming bomb) show up elsewhere on the stock? I am pretty sure there are several places it should appear.

No the only location for the flaming bomb and eagle as far as I can remember is there in front of the magazine.

                  More photos...

remember the Dutch with tulip bulbs.
a Cossack rifle is worth a bit extra scratch than a standard M91, completely understandable. but for the amount the seller paid, he'd have better luck with buying 2 crates from an importer and digging through to find a Cossack marked rifle. if he did not find one, he could jack up the price per rifle 5 bucks and recoup his money.then buy another 2 crates. last i checked (about 3 years ago,) there was some one on the east coast selling crates of mosins for about 1,100 bucks plus shipping. so 2 crates would be 2,200 plus shipping and you have 40 mosins to dig through. the probability of find a refurb Cossack might be rare but if you bought and sold and kept searching, you might be able to find one.

I don't think the ex-cossack refurb was simply an ex cossack refurb. It appears to have a Finnish stamp AND the refurb mark AND shows use post refurb. It's far rarer than a simple ex-cossack refurb.
